Our History

Scaffolding is a family trade for the Johnson's. George started his journey after spending a summer working in the yard with his great uncle's company in Vancouver B.C. The next summer, after working on projects like the Molson Indy Race,  movie sets all over the lower mainland, and rappelling down the side of a dam to install scaffolding, sufficient to say, he was hooked.

George ran the Vancouver Shipyards Scaffolding division and worked on many other industrial and commercial projects across B.C. before moving to Edmonton. He saw a ton of opportunity in this new city; the majority of commercial projects were being run by large, industrial companies. In 2012, he took the leap and Prairie Gold Scaffolding was founded.

George has built his company on a dedication to his team and his partners; employee retention is high and Prairie Gold partners have continued to work with us year after year.
